With the final arrows scored and the targets put away, the USAT #2 2026 Easton Foundations Salt Lake Summit officially wrapped up this past Sunday, May 31st. Spanning two intense, action-packed weekends at the world-class Easton Salt Lake Archery Center in Utah, the second stop of the 2026 United States Archery Team (USAT) Qualifier Series delivered unforgettable moments, fierce competition, and a glimpse at the future of American archery.
Set against the stunning, often-breezy backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains, the Summit challenged archers to bring their absolute best. Competitors from across the country—ranging from seasoned Senior and 50+ veterans to the rising stars in the Youth divisions—gathered to battle for crucial national ranking points.
A World-Class Stage for Elite Competition
The Easton Salt Lake Archery Center once again proved why it is a premier destination for target archery. As an official Olympic and Paralympic training site, the pristine outdoor turf fields provided a flawless, level playing ground.
Athletes competed across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Fixed Pins, and Para divisions (Para Compound, Para Recurve, and Para W1). The stakes were incredibly high; as the second major USAT event of the 2026 season, archers were highly motivated to lock in their national standings, pushing the cutlines higher and making every single point count during the 72-arrow qualification rounds and the subsequent head-to-head eliminations.
The Youth Surge: U15, U18, and U21 Steal the Show
While the Senior and 50+ divisions brought incredible precision during the first weekend (May 22-24), it was the massive turnout for the Youth divisions over the final weekend (May 29-31) that truly made headlines.
The sport of archery is growing at an unprecedented rate, and it showed in Salt Lake City. Registration for the U15, U18, and U21 categories reached near-capacity weeks in advance, prompting USA Archery to implement a waitlist for several recurve and compound categories.
The youth archers did not disappoint. Spectators lining the facility's permanent canopies were treated to incredible displays of composure under pressure. Whether it was the razor-thin margins in the U21 Compound shoot-offs or the impressive consistency of the U15 Barebow competitors navigating the outdoor wind reads, the next generation of American archers proved they are ready for the international stage.
Looking Ahead
Securing a spot on the United States Archery Team requires immense dedication, travel, and consistency across the USAT Qualifier Series. With the Salt Lake Summit now in the rearview mirror, athletes will take the valuable lessons learned—and the ranking points earned—into their training camps as they prepare for the next leg of the 2026 outdoor season.
A massive thank you goes out to the Easton Foundations, USA Archery staff, the dedicated judges, and the tireless volunteers who made the massive 10-day event run seamlessly. And, of course, congratulations to all the athletes and their coaches who made the journey to Utah.
